OXJAMBRUM 2009

THE MAIN EVENT

Thank you for the most amazing day Birmingham! We raised over £3,000 for Oxfam. Thanks to everyone who came along and supported the event, we salute you! Love David, JP, Laura, Nic, Simarjeet xx

SATURDAY 24th OCTOBER 2009

Whilst October sees people hosting their own events up and down the country to help raise awareness for Oxfam’s work on Climate Change, Saturday 24 October sees the city centre venues of Birmingham unite to host OxjamBrum’s Festival.  Showcasing the very best of local, grassroots music whilst embracing national upcoming talent this will encompass over thirty acts, over six venues and all for one ticket which will be exchanged for a wristband on the day. The line up is varied and exciting with a mix of genres which will entice people of all musical tastes, and the venues are all within walking distance of each other.

WHO’S PLAYING AND WHERE

Collectively the city centre will be a buzz on the 24th October, come and be a part of it.  We are starting early at 2pm so make sure you don’t miss a thing by collecting your wristband, picking up a programme and making those all important choices quickly!

Kingston Row

One of the city’s most respected and loved venues has seen some great bands perform over the years, from locals Editors through to The Pigeon Detectives and We Are Scientists.

Here we will be hosting upcoming rock bands, headlined by Leeds’ rising stars DINOSAUR PILE-UP who recently kicked off the Reading and Leeds Festivals playing the NME/Radio 1 tent.

If you are out and about early why not pop in and see a rising star up close and personal!

New Street:

This new bar is quickly gaining a reputation for quality, not just because of its almighty jukebox but for its excellent location and hospitality.

DJs, Rock and Roll and Rockabilly will be on offer here. It will also be the location of the wristband exchange from 2pm – 8pm.
